Payment via Paypal is preferred, however, checks are acceptable.  Checks can be made out to: LTRC CO-OP Tots.

Our program begins at 9:15.  Parents have the option of enrolling their child in our extended day/ lunch bunch program which would allow the child to stay until 2:30.

We are not licensed by MSDE to change diapers and as such all children must be potty trained prior to the start of the program.

We follow BCPS school closing/inclement weather guidelines.  If BCPS closes early, we will close early, and all afternoon classes will be cancelled.  If BCPS opens 2 hours late, there will be no morning classes and afternoon classes will run as usual.

Daily Procedures

The door will remain closed and always locked except for arrival and dismissal.  A teacher will monitor the door during arrival and dismissal.  No child will be released to another adult without written permission from the child’s legal guardian.

Parking spaces in the Pinewood Elementary School parking lot are difficult to come by.  We recommend that parents coming to volunteer, park their cars in the Mays Chapel area ( Green Point Rd)  and walk the path to get to school.

Volunteer Day/ Duties

Parents of children in the 3 year old program can expect to volunteer once a month.  Parents of children in the 4 year old program can expect to volunteer 1-2 times a month.  However, if you volunteer twice in one month, you will not be expected to do the same the following month.

Parent volunteers will assist the teacher in cutting out materials for crafts, setting up stations, preparing snacks, wiping down tables, and assisting in the implementation of teacher created activities.

Your volunteer day in your child’s class is a special day for both of you.  Siblings are not permitted to attend school on your volunteer day.

Other family members, nannies or friends can volunteer in your place, however, they must have completed the Baltimore County Rec and Park background check, fingerprinting screening, and submitted a release of information form 30 days prior to volunteering in the classroom.  We also ask that all volunteers be able to move about the classroom with ease and be able to speak and understand English.

Housekeeping duties are fulfilled by each member of the co-op once a semester.  Typically, you may be asked to mop the floor in the lobby or one of the bathrooms, clean the kitchen or refrigerator, or wipe down some shelves.  The job usually takes about 15 minutes and can be completed 15 minutes prior to drop off or pick up of your child.

The co-op will provide one fingerprinting day at school over the summer.  Parents can opt to get fingerprinted then or at some other time and place over the summer. Fingerprinting instructions can be found on the fingerprinting form.  Fingerprinting locations can be found on the fingerprinting locations form.

Snacks/ Food Allergies

Parent volunteers are responsible for providing a snack and water for the class on their scheduled volunteer day. Snacks should be nutritious and nut- free.

The Co-op is a nut-free program and does not serve any products containing nuts.  If your child has any allergies, please contact the teacher so that safe and appropriate snacks can be provided.

Parents are responsible for providing a nut free lunch and drink for their child that is attending lunch bunch.
