ABOUT US
Welcome to the LTRC Co-op Tots Program! We are a small cooperative preschool program operated by the Lutherville- Timonium Recreation Council and housed at Pinewood Elementary School. Our program has been in existence for over 40 years and is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Childcare. The Co-op’s mission is to provide a program that is age appropriate while helping children develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually by learning through structured play. Through meaningful play experience children develop concepts and skills basic to the more difficult tasks of learning in later years. The Co-op offers the parent the unique opportunity to see their child interact with the teachers and other children in school.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
We offer the following programs:
3’s Class – Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00-12:00
4’s Class – Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 9:00-12:0
Extended Day (Lunch Bunch)
Monday- Friday: 12:00-2:30
*Parents can choose to extend their regularly enrolled days from a 12:00pm pickup to a 2:30pm pickup. Extended day will include lunch time and rest time. Three’s students can enroll in Tuesday and/or Thursday extended day and four’s students can enroll in one, two or all three extended days on Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Completion of the application and a registration payment will reserve a spot for your child in our class.

I think the LTRC tots program is probably one of the best kept secrets in the area. The teachers are fantastic, the tuition is unbeatable, and the community is welcoming. The instruction is engaging, play-based and developmentally appropriate. There were many special activities like sports day, pajama day, field trips, teddy bear picnic, etc. They also offer two summer camps after the end of the school year for fantastic prices. We’ve had a fantastic experience so far and I can’t wait to send my younger kids!
